An airport that fails to really be one. I was going into Alexandria, Louisiana’s “International” Airport only to find that it honestly isn’t. Out of the two runways they have, one was being torn up along with it’s radar system at the very time I was due to fly in. So my connecting flight from Memphis was delayed and eventually canceled altogether as they wouldn’t allow us to land, in essence denying our ability to take off. So after getting another flight 3 hours later to Lafayette (almost a 2 hour drive from my destination) I was again confronted with another problem, too much fuel on the plane and of the 60 people on the flight just 2 people were detained and kept from getting on-board, one of them was me of course. But they honored my bag! So off it went flying off into the sunset to a city I had no intention of going to in the first place! So after being put up in a hotel overnight and granted a few 4 hours sleep I left to Atlanta only to return west and end up at my destination of intent the most they did was offer me a measly $300 credit to use later. It cost me a romantic dinner with my girlfriend and time I’ll never get back, but I’ll survive. Thanks a lot Delta!!!

I haven’t had a flight take off or land on time in the past five years! I honestly don’t think they even try anymore!
